Top 10 list of what to expect at the Huntington City budget address this week

With the Huntington City Budget approaching this Friday, there are a lot of things on the city citizen’s minds which concern not only them, but the Mayor as well. These topics are not only new ones, but ones which have affected the city in the past as well. While Huntington seems to be moving in the right direction it is important for us as a city to remain on top of the issues we need to in order to bring Huntington back to its glory days of the mid to late 1900’s. Based on a meeting with the mayor this past week, there are ten topics which I expect him to bring up when he delivers his speech this Friday at city hall.
1.      Norcott Housing development update
2.      Huntington City baseball field
3.      Hiring Freeze
4.      Road updates/construction/paving
5.      Relations with Marshall University
6.      Crime Rates decreasing
7.      West End renovations
8.      City Fee continuations
9.      Water concerns
10.  Rain water drainage system
